A 3-ounce cooked serving of fish provides about 20 grams of protein, or about one-third of the average daily recommended protein intake. The protein in fish is of high quality, containing an abundance of essential amino acids and it is very digestible for people of all ages.

Question: Is fish from farms safe to eat?
Answer: Mercury has been non detectable within our fish farms. They are raised in a clean environment and provided with the best nutrition.

Question: Are farmed fish regulated?

Answer: All fish farms in Pennsylvania are required to be licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture (PDA). Controlled cultivation is necessary in maintaining consistency. The trout are fed through regulated feed mills which are also regulated by the state.

Question: Should pregnant women avoid eating fish due to high mercury levels?

Answer: No! It is very important that pregnant women consume fish. It is important for the development of their baby that women obtain certain essential nutrients found almost exclusively in fish.Only a small percentage of fish contain high levels of mercury. The benefits of fish far outweigh the risks. Fish can be a nutritious part of anyone’s diet.
